Ms. Julia Hilson

Ms. Julia Hilson is one of the leading experts in AMI Montessori education, with over 30 years of practical experience in the UK and Australia. She is also an AMI examiner and consultant. Beginning her career in 1983, she obtained her international AMI diplomas for the 3-6 age level in London, the 6-12 level in Bergamo, and the 0-3 level on the Gold Coast. Julia has since become a globally respected trainer, teaching in Tokyo, London, Johannesburg, Sydney, and Bangalore.

She is a member of the AMI Pedagogical Committee, where she contributes to the development and enhancement of Montessori programs worldwide. In 2008, she pioneered a pilot Montessori program for children aged 3-6 in the Torres Strait Islands and lived there for over six years to expand this initiative into Parent-Child groups across multiple islands in the region.

In 2014, Julia became an AMI Trainer at the 0-3 level, conducting teacher training courses in various countries, including Australia, the UK, South Africa, Vietnam, and Japan..
